this trail....is just too good.
i can't believe this was my first year to discover it.
the girls and i first hiked this trail with t & k in the summertime.
the bigger girls were game to go with me in between conference sessions and i'm so glad we did.
we honestly had such a special time...just the three of us.
it was GORGEOUS.
we kept ooh and aahh-ing over the leaves...falling before our eyes.
i love that this hike has a bit of everything...uphill climb, through trees, then a meadow and a lake.
it's such a dream.
the yellows were incredible and we were all just soaking it in.
we gathered over a hundred leaves while we hiked.
the girls are such great hikers and never complained even for a second.
we had a quick snack at the lake and then got on our way as storm clouds were coming.
it really tickles me that the girls enjoy some of the same things i do.
and i love that they seem to have their own love for nature.
we made it back to the car just as the second session was starting and
we were able to sustain our prophet.
such a splendid fall saturday.
